OUR CRAFT AND EXPERIENCE

How would you describe your shooting style?

We like to think of ourselves as fly-on-the-wall until we don’t have to be. During the normal flow of the day, we like to hang back, observe and document. During the couple and portrait session time, we are are master stage directors. You want to look like a rock star don’t you?

Do you photograph anything besides weddings?

When we’re not grooving on our clients’ awesome weddings, we’re working, professional photographers. Erin’s work has been published in the New York Times, Esquire and the International Herald Tribune. She specializes in travel and photojournalism. Mat’s images have a distinctly celebrity and fashion bent. He has worked for InStyle Magazine, Steven Alan, and Robert Verdi, among many others.

Do you shoot digital or film? What cameras do you use?

Both! But usually digital. We shoot Canon 5Ds with a full complement of Canon lenses and flashes. If that’s Greek to you, those are full-fledged professional bodies with googlabytes of megapixels. We can do special packages for film medium-format and toy cameras, so ask if you’re looking for that special Holga or Hasselblad look.

Did you study photography in school? How long have you been doing this?

Both Erin an Mat received BFAs in photography from RIT and Pratt respectively. We've both been professional photographers for over 10 years apiece. We love our jobs!

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Do you always work together?

We love to work together because our styles compliment each other so well, and we can cover your day from every possible angle. However, we do offer a smaller package with your choice of either Erin or Mat.

How many images do you shoot?

Several thousand on average, but we edit down to the best ones and only show you those. We’ll remove blurry, out-of-focus, and redeye images so you only look amazing. We usually deliver between 600-800 files per wedding. Trust us, you’ll have more than enough to play with.

Do we get to keep the negatives?

We provide you with the edited, color-corrected high-resolution digital Jpg files (the equivalent of negatives). They are yours to print for personal use, although we will retain copyright for promotional and advertising purposes.

Can we view images not in the final edit?

No, these files are not available for viewing or purchase. The final selection from your wedding is loosely-edited and reflects the best possible version of your day from our viewpoint. We will never leave out important moments or people. Once a selection is made, the remaining files are not archived and therefore not available.

Can we have the raw files straight from the camera?

No, these files are not available for viewing or purchase. This is akin to wanting to every take shot of every scene in a movie. We will give you the best images of the day and do not archive the rest.

What is the proofing gallery?

This is an online gallery where your friends and family can view images from the wedding and purchase prints, without bothering you. You can choose who to invite to the gallery and also hide from view images you'd like to keep private.

Do you photograph engagement sessions?

Yes, and we love them! We encourage all of our couple to do one as it gives us a chance to get to know one another before the craziness and stress of a wedding day. It's also a good time for us to figure out how comfortable you are in front of the camera.

How long before we see our pictures?

Images from your wedding will be ready within 6 weeks and up on the proofing site. Initial album designs can take 1-2 months and delivery depends mostly on how quickly you get back to us with revisions and changes. Once a design is final, an album will usually be delivered within 3 months. The more complex and larger the album, the longer it will take. Don’t worry though, they are always worth the wait.

THE BIZNESS DETAILS

Where are you based? Do you travel?

We split our time between Seattle and New York City but are always happy to photograph weddings all over the globe. We keep our passports handy just in case! Any travel outside of metro Seattle or NYC will incur a travel fee.

Do you shoot more than one wedding in a day?

Never! We have no idea how that would even work. We work our butts off for our clients and at the end of the day we’re too wiped out to shoot something else. You are our one and only concern for the day, or weekend if you wish. We want you to look your best!

How much do you charge?

We offer custom packages based on each client's need. Basic coverage starts at $2900 and full coverage including both Mat and Erin starts at $4000. Contact us today for a custom quote!

Do you have business insurance?

Yes and are happy to provide a Certificate of Insurance to your venue.

What if our event runs over time?

We do have an overtime rate that we charge only with your express permission. We also will let you know when there are 30 minutes left on your time and if there are activities yet to photograph.

Do we need to feed you at the event?

Oh yes! We don't require the same meal as your guests, but a feeding us a hot meal will ensure that we stay cheerful and aware of what we are photographing. A wedding day is a long day on our feet and it would be so sad if we had to miss any of it due to hunger and light-headedness.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yep, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
